How to install Marble Shield
Peel back edge of Marble Shield and begin to unroll. Press down edge at beginning of area to be covered so Marble Shield adheres. Continue rolling onto area, applying pressure and smoothing down the film while doing so. Carefully cut end with a sharp edge. When finished, fold edge of the film back against the roll to use at a later time. Removal: roll up Marble Shield and discard.
What is temporary surface film used for?
Ideal for use during fabrication and/or shipping where heavy-duty protection is required. Helps protect cultured marble and cast polymer from chips and scratches during shipping and installation.
How to remove adhesive from marble?
When removing Marble Shield from marble, it is important to use a gentle approach. Start using a razor blade scraper or plastic putty knife to remove as much adhesive as possible. Next, apply a non-abrasive cleaner such as rubbing alcohol and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Finally, scrub the area with a soft bristle brush and rinse with warm water. If the adhesive is still present, use a poultice paste to absorb the remaining adhesive. Follow the instructions carefully when using a poultice paste on marble surfaces.
