How to protect the carpet during construction?
Protecting the carpet around your home will vary depending on its location. For example, your carpet on the stairs should be given extra protection. You can do this by using a heavy duty carpet protector, which will help prevent wear and tear on the stairs. If your carpets are in high-traffic areas of your home, such as hallways, consider using Carpet Shield to stop dirt and dust accumulation. Additionally, if you are painting or doing renovations near the carpet, it’s a good idea to use a waterproof tarp or plastic sheeting to catch any paint or debris. Finally, consider using self-adhesive vinyl protectors on your carpets for extra protection from shoes and furniture. When laying a carpet protector, ensure it is firmly attached to the carpet and remove any loose fibers.
How do I install Carpet Shield?
Peel back edge of Carpet Shield and begin to unroll. Press down edge at beginning of area to be covered so Carpet Shield adheres. Continue rolling onto carpet, applying pressure and smoothing down the film while doing so. Carefully cut end with a sharp edge.
